|
OTCBB:LBAS (11/29/07, 15:03:31) -- LBAS - Location Based Technologies (formerly OTCBB:SPRG) was one of those stocks trending slowly and steadily for months. It exploded higher the last few days after receiving a good deal of attention from a BUYINS.NET press release about a potential short squeeze in the stock. After make a huge two day move to peak just under $5/share on relatively low volume, the stock crashed back to $4 very quickly. When price breaks, the market makers will ignore all orders until they decide to let you off the hook - if you are caught long, take what you can get. Remember, once the game is over, it is really over... You may get a temporary bounce, but very rarely before at least two good panic thrusts down. Tried to short at $4 but could not get the shares. A few hours later it was trading at $2.71 before bouncing back to about $3.50.

These are the worst types of moves - where position sizing is key - because there was no price blow-off to indicate the time to sell. When price breaks, the market makers will ignore all orders until they decide to let you off the hook - if you are caught long, take what you can get. Remember, once the game is over, it is really over... You may get a temporary bounce, but very rarely before at least two good panic thrusts down.

But watch out for another potential short squeeze after it reestablishes support.
